About Us

El Pony Pisador are five young lads from Barcelona that mix traditional music from around the world in a jolly manner but with attention to detail.

Our sense of humor is contagious: our live shows are varied and unpredictable, because between laughs and jokes, something unexpected happens in every concert.

We like traditional celtic music and sea songs and shanties, but in our albums and concerts you’ll find sounds from many different places and cultures. We get deep into the music that we discover so it is as pleasant to the experts as to people that hear folk music for the first time.

MEMBERS

Adrià Vila plays the mandolin, the mandola, the bodhran, the spoons, sings a high falsetto and combines it with his passion for "Irish sessions" and his career as a chemist, which among other things allows us to laugh at chemistry jokes that others do not understand.
Guillem Codern plays the banjo and harmonica, the Galician bagpipe, the launeddas, does Tuvan harmonic and guttural singing, yodeling, tenor singing, and more impossible things that we are gradually learning, such as that he reads hieroglyphics and is an expert ornithologist. We will keep you up to date with what we discover.
Miquel Pérez plays the violin and viola, tambourines and tambourines and does vocals with whatever he can. In his free time he sings rub-a-dub on the sound system and plays turbofolk electronic music, but his dream is to dedicate himself to megalithic polyorcetics and opus signinum pavements.
Martí Selga plays different types of recorder and whistle (with a maximum of two at a time for now), the electric bass and sings the lowest voice in the group. Sonologist and professor at One Piece, he finds baroque ornaments and renaissance repertoire missing from the current urban music scene.
Ramon Anglada plays the guitar, the accordion and does vocals while doing the coursnavette on stage. Don't be fooled, he actually wants to play bluegrass in the shade of a tree, sing habaneras on a boat, drink gazpacho, have adventures and go scuba diving among mustachioed fish and crustaceans.
Josep Puigdollers is probably the most notorious person in the town of Cardedeu, after Julius Caesar and Celine Dion. He is also a quality inspector in metronomes and responsible for the groove of our live shows.
